Lee Gordon McKillop also known as Lee Mack was born and raised in Southport, Merseyside. He was only 12 years old when his parents got divorced. After completing his schooling back home, he found work in a bingo hall and also as a stale boy.

It was not until 1994 when he got the chance to perform his first ‘open mic’ while he was still studying in Brunel University. Within the next 18 months of his life he was then fully identified as a full-time comedian. It was in 1996 when he first met his wife Tara studying in Brunel University.

Nine years later in 2005 the two got married in 2005 and share three beautiful children. Their eldest son and their daughter have even appeared in Not Going Out. Mack was interested in completing his honorary doctorate from Brunel University which he did in the year 2012.

Stand Up Comedy

Mack’s stand up comedy is known to have started in the year 2001 where he appeared at Up The Creek in Greenwich. By the year 2003 arrived he was already doing shows in numerous clubs.

In 2006 he went on his first tour and did tours like ‘Going Out’ which became quite popular. In 2010 he appeared in Channel 4’s Comedy Gala which was conducted in aid of GOSC Hospital.
