Naomi Pomeroy was a favorite chef for most food critics and was loved by people all around the world. The disheartening news of the American chef and restaurateur recently made people shocked about her unusual death. The death news of the renowned chef has left us with a deep void in our hearts. 

Naomi Pomeroy was born in 1974 in Oregon, United States and was married to Kyle Linden Webster. Pomeroy had appeared in Top Chef as a contestant in season 3.

She has appeared in other competitive shows like Iron Chef and has served as a judge in Top Chef in seasons 10, 15 and 18. Naomi’s contribution to her professional success made Portland a dining destination. 

The passion for cooking she had was something that her fans will always cherish forever. It is said that Naomi made her first ever recipe when she was just 4 years old.

She has come a long way and had a promising career ahead of her. She had recently opened up a frozen custard shop along with Mika Paredes who is her longtime collaborator. In 2014, Naomi was the recipient of the James Beard Award For Best Chef: Northwest and Pacific.

Recently, an accident occurred on the Willamette river on July 13th. Sources revealed that she was with her husband and an unnamed friend at the accident site. The flotilla that they were on flipped over as the currents were quite fast. The inner tubes which were tied together tore while the three were floating.

Her husband and their third friend safely made it to the shore but Pomeroy failed to do so. The Benton County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) immediately ordered a search party for the victim’s body.

The search still continues but due to the presence of heavy debris in the water it is taking some time to recover. The whole area is being searched using sonar, drones, and even underwater cameras. Ever since the news of her death spread, fans are paying tribute to Pomeroy.
